Hi! My name is Naomi Eddy and I am a martial artist turned circus artist from the United States, Pennsylvania. I specialize in contortion and like to incorporate it with different disciplines such as hand balance, Chinese pole, aerial hoop, and acrobatic research. My passion for contemporary dance has greatly inspired the way I move. I like to explore the technical elements of dance using my unique range of motion to create new possibilities of movement and pathways within myself.
My aim is to push past the narrative of contortion being exclusively focused on a bending body. I love experimenting with how I can evolve contortion with the arts I have experienced around me during my time in Quebec, Canada. Physical theater, contemporary dance, clowning, manipulations, puppetry, and visual arts were concepts I always admired, yet never thought to put into my discipline until I experienced the different culture and impact circus has had around the world.
